Rotterdam restaurant fire the cause of power outages
A fire at a Rotterdam restaurant is the cause of a massive power outage Sunday morning.

The fire at The Wagon Train BBQ Restaurant at 671 Mariaville Road in Rotterdam affected the electrical lines and caused the power outage.
The call reporting the outage came in around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, National Grid said.
National Grid wanted to divert power elsewhere in an effort to keep it on, but for safety reasons had to cut the power.
By around 9:20 a.m. Sunday morning all power that was affected by the restaurant fire was restored.
The outage lasted for about three hours and affected about 20,000 people.
