Saint Rose women’s soccer loses on penalty kicks in NCAA tourney

The College of Saint Rose’s women’s soccer team lost in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament to Adelphi University on Friday.

Saint Rose had beaten Adelphi twice this season.  

The score was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation. After two scoreless overtime periods, Adelphi won in penalty kicks to Advance to the Elite 8.

Saint Rose ends its season 20-1-1, and it marks the final chapter in the history of the program.
