Capt. David Wallingford spoke at the first vigil 25 years ago and will be there again today. The retired Marine and Albany native was wounded in Vietnam.

He met his wife, Helen, a nurse, at the hospital in Japan where he was treated. They now live on Saratoga Lake and always cherish the bond they share as veterans with others at Saratoga National Cemetery.
