Downtown Saratoga Springs is filled with excitement this week, because the racing season gets underway on Thursday.
Businesses are hoping to see pre-pandemic sizes crowds.
Saratoga Tea & Honey is preparing for its seventh track season.
The business has always been connected to horses. The shop opened on Kentucky Derby Day in 2015.
Owner Haley Stevens tells NewsChannel 13 they start preparing extra shipments early to get ready for the crowds.
At Putnam Market, some employees like William Roach have been working at the Saratoga shop off and on for nearly 30 years. Staff members say they expect a return to the kind of sales they had before the pandemic.
