The city of Saratoga Springs is reaching into a whole new segment of the population to find employees.

The program is called “Helping Hands.”

DPW Commissioner Jason Golub needs workers, and he’s offering a helping hand to people who need a home and a job.

The goal for this summer is to have four people who are unhoused on the city’s payroll, and more than that next year.

It’s a part-time job, but the hope is it will help put people on the path to full-time employment.

Meet one of the people who’s in the program and learn how it’s helping him by watching the video of Mark Mulholland’s story.
