Saratoga Springs neighbors join movement not to mow lawns in May

Why some say not to mow your lawn in May

There's a movement building over the last couple of years to not mow your lawn this month during the month of May. It's about protecting the nesting sites of bees.

Members of a Saratoga Springs community are joining “No Mow May.”

The movement encourages people not to mow their lawn in May to help protect pollinators.

Sustainable Saratoga is joining the effort with a “No Mow May” sign you can buy and proudly display on your front yard.

They are available at 160 Spring Street in Saratoga Springs, or 36 Hill Road in Stillwater.
