Saratoga Springs police check on dozens of registered sex offenders

Saratoga Springs Police recently made a series of recent in-person visits to registered sex offenders.

These were surprise visits to make sure these offenders are following the rules.

Investigators completed 37 in-person checks.  Those surprise checks were made to people who are required to register on the state sex offender registry and live in the city of Saratoga Springs.

This was a proactive measure, police said.
