Satellite DMV Office in Hoosick Falls closed due to poor air quality

The Rensselaer County DMV Satellite Office is operating outside due to an air quality issue in the building.

Although the Murphy Building is open, the basement has been closed off. A notice was sent out, stating that staff from the DMV will be meeting customers in the parking lot to accept and process paperwork.

Severe air quality issues were found during the inspection of the Murphy Building, according to the Code Enforcement Officer. This is because mold or mildew was found in the building’s basement.

The Code Enforcement Officer suggested no one use the basement until an air exchange system is installed.
