More than a dozen people from Schenectady will have to find new homes after the building they were living in was destroyed in a fire Sunday.

The apartments at 223 Nott Terrace were expected to be torn down as soon as Monday.

Firefighters say the call came in around 2 a.m. Sunday, and it took them 90 minutes to fight it.

One resident was injured. No firefighters were hurt.

The Red Cross is helping 19 people impacted by the fire, including 13 who were displaced.

Members of a church across the street also helped out. They passed out coffee and hot chocolate, and let people inside to keep them warm.

NewsChannel 13 is working to find out the condition of the person who was injured, along with what caused the fire.
