Schenectady baker achieves goal of being her own boss

Bri Larsen is at her best when she can bring the heat.

The Schenectady High graduate knew when she was about 8 years old that she belonged in the kitchen.             

She attended Schenectady County Community College’s well-respected Culinary Arts program after high school, and went on to the Culinary Institute of America.

She worked at a number of bakeries and kitchens. However, it was an encounter at one in particular that reminded her she should be her own boss.
