Schenectady hosting blood drive Monday

Happening Monday – the Schenectady County Legislature is hosting a community blood drive with the American Red Cross.

It’s being held from 9 until 3 p.m. at the Karen B. Johnson Library in Schenectady.
According to the Red Cross, donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types O-negative, A-negative and B-negative.
January is designated as national blood donor month to recognize the importance of giving blood, while celebrating the lifesaving impact of those who roll up a sleeve to help patients in need.
