Schenectady man arrested for making a false report

A Schenectady man is arrested, accused of falsely calling in an armed robbery.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to Fire Road and State Route 146 in Clifton Park for what was reported as an armed robbery.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office says they were told by 29-year-old Steven Silvestri that he was held at gunpoint.
Deputies found someone matching the suspect’s description, but he was later released after an investigation.
Deputies ended up arresting Silvestri for allegedly making a false report. He is now being charged.
