Schenectady man arrested for stealing oxycodone from employer, tampering with evidence

The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office arrested Nerraw A. Black Jr., 29, of Schenectady on August 20 for tampering with evidence, among other charges.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nerraw A. Black Jr., 29, of Schenectady on August 20 for tampering with evidence, among other charges.

The Sheriff’s Office says he is accused of stealing a quantity of oxycodone from his employer in the Town of Wilton on July 13, which it is alleged he was knowingly and unlawfully in possession of a controlled substance.

He is also accused of removing and destroying the controlled substance that accompanies the medication, in an effort to conceal the crime.

Authorities say he is charged with first-degree falsifying business records, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, petit larceny, and obtaining a controlled substance by fraudulent means.

The Sheriff’s Office says he was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Wilton Town Court on a later date.
