Schenectady man gets 20 years in prison for drugs, gun crimes

A Schenectady man was sentenced on Monday to 20 years in prison for distributing drugs and possessing firearms.

Ramel Gulley, 28, possessed and intended to distribute 400 grams of a substance containing fentanyl and had multiple guns to further his drug trafficking, prosecutors said.

He had pleaded guilty in June 2023 and admitted that he possessed heroin-fentanyl mixtures weighing about 2,035 grams that he intended to distribute. He also admitted that he had four firearms to protect the drugs, $12,625 in drug proceeds, and his drug trafficking businesses.
