Schenectady man gets 6 years in federal prison for having child pornography

A Schenectady man was sentenced on Tuesday to 6 years in federal prison for receiving hundreds and images and videos of child pornography.

Daniel Quintero, 38, had previously admitted in U.S. District Court in Albany that from about May 1, 2019 through March 2, 2022, he downloaded hundreds of videos and images of child pornography onto multiple electronic devices and a cloud storage account, according to a news release.

U.S. District Court Judge Anne M. Nardacci also sentenced Quintero to 10 years of supervised release to begin following his prison term. He must forfeit four electronic devices that he used and pay a total of $9,000 in restitution to three victims whose abuse was depicted in the images. Quintero also must register as a sex offender.
