Schenectady man sentenced for attempting to coerce and entice minor
A Schenectady man began his first day of a ten-year sentence Monday in crime requiring him to now register as a sex offender.
Michael Robbins Junior was sentenced to 10 years for attempted coercion and enticement of a minor.
Robbins admitted to sending explicit messages to an undercover officer, posing as a 12-year-old child, and then traveling to a bowling alley in Latham, back in March of 2021, the U.S. attorney’s office said.
That’s where he intended to meet the child for sex, and instead found police waiting.
