The city of Schenectady Republican chairman is calling for an investigation into alleged email abuse by the council president and city clerk.
Chairman Matt Nelligan is calling on the mayor to investigate Council President Marion Porterfield and City Clerk Samanta Mykoo, who are both Democrats.
Nelligan accuses the two of using their work email to promote a political fundraiser where Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado was speaker.
The fundraiser was scheduled for October 1 and hosted by the Schenectady Black Political Action Committee.
