Schodack Police arrest man for robbery, burglary

The Schodack Police Department arrested Senecca J. Gillyard, 35, of Castleton on Saturday following police response for a disturbance at the Castle Inn.
Police say they responded to the Inn at 1565 Columbia Turnpike in Castleton around 2:00 p.m. for reports of a disturbance.
Officials say Gillyard entered the room of the person who made the call to police, which the dispute between the two people became physical.
Gillyard damaged property belonging to the complainant and forcibly stole her phone in an attempt to prevent her from calling the police, said Schodack Police.
Authorities say the complainant left her room and called the police from the main office of the Inn.
Gillyard was charged with the following:
- Second-degree burglary
- Third-degree robbery
- Fourth-degree criminal mischief
He was arrested and arraigned at Schodack Town Court, where he was released to probation supervision.
