Schoharie school custodian facing child pornography charges
A custodian in the Schoharie Central School District is facing child pornography charges. James Lethco, 50, of Middleburgh was arrested after a search of his home on Wednesday, investigators said, which came after a tip.
No local victims have been identified, police said.
Lethco — a custodian at the Jr./Sr. High School — is now on leave from his job, the district said.
He was released from custody and is due back in court on May 9.
Anyone with information on Lethco is asked to call state police at (518) 583-7000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
NewsChannel 13 reached out to the district. They released this statement:
“The safety of our students will always be our primary concern. We will cooperate fully with the investigation. Since this is an active investigation related to an employee we cannot comment further.”
