Schumer celebrates semiconductor bill at nano facility in Albany

After years of pushing for better in investment into the nation’s semiconductor industry, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is back in Albany, celebrating how it will finally become a reality with a boost for our area.
The reality Albany and upstate could become the nation’s first hub to create the technology is bringing Schumer out once again, saying the Capital Region’s on the cusp of something big, and thousands of new jobs will need to be filled to support the industry.
The bill, which only needs a signature from the president before becoming law, sets aside billions of dollars for United States manufacturers to produce semiconductors.
