U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer has secured nearly $250 million to bring solar power to disadvantaged communities across New York state.

That federal funding is part of the $7 billion from President Joe Biden’s Solar for All grant program.

The money will help deliver solar power to low-income households.

This investment will power a cleaner New York for the future, while creating thousands of jobs across the state, Schumer said.
