Numerous car break-ins under investigation in Berkshire County community

Police in one Berkshire County town are asking for your items help to find whoever is responsible for breaking into a handful of cars.

Dalton Police are using security cameras and a lot of help from doorbell cameras in their investigation. A police sergeant says it might be a group of teenagers.

Twelve cars were broken into late Sunday night between 10:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m., said police.

It happened in the areas of Pine Street, John Street, Curtis Avenue, Central Avenue and Carson Avenue.

Most cars had registrations stolen. Cash and lottery tickets in plain sight in some cars were left alone, said police.
