Parts of the Capital Region and surrounding areas saw severe weather on Wednesday.
While there weren’t a ton of severe weather reports, there were reports of thunderstorm wind damage in places including Nassau and Bennington.
NewsChannel 13 First Warning Meteorologist Reid Kisselback was in Nassau early Wednesday evening, as National Grid had to shut off power and repair smoking power lines.

Meantime, a strong afternoon storm in Bennington knocked out power for more than 3,000 customers on Wednesday.
A map of reported outages showed most of those homes had their power restored by later that evening, but there’s still a lot of damage in the area from storms that passed through.
There could be more severe weather on Thursday. Our First Warning Weather Team has issued an Alert Day.
