Shaker students, teacher to watch Hochul inauguration in-person

A group from Shaker High School will be heading over to the Capitol for Gov. Kathy Hochul’s inauguration on Sunday.
The commissioner of the Office of General Services invited students and teachers after participating in roundtable discussions with Shaker students at a “First Amendment, First Vote” kickoff event, earlier this month, says the school.
Several students created videos in which they discuss the importance of seeing New York inaugurate its first female-elected governor.
