Shots fired in area of Grand Street and Madison Avenue in Albany, one person in custody

NewsChannel 13 has confirmed with Albany Police that there was a shooting incident in Albany on Saturday afternoon.

Police say it happened around 2:40 p.m. in the area of Grand Street and Madison Avenue.

The incident occurred less than a quarter mile away from MVP Arena, where the NCAA Basketball Tournament games are ongoing.

Authorities have one person in custody from this incident.

No one was injured.

This investigation remains active at this time, said police.
