Police arrest 26-year-old man in connection to shooting in Adams, MA

Shooting incident in Adams, MA under investigation

The Adams Police Department in Massachusetts is investigating a shooting incident that happened early Saturday morning around 7:00 a.m.

An update from the Adams Police Department on the non-fatal shooting that happened Saturday morning.

Police have arrested Tyler M. Bump, 26, North Adams and charged him in connection to the shooting that happened on Mills Street in Adams.

Bump has been charged with the following:

  • Assault and battery by discharging firearm
  • Unlawful possession of a firearm
  • Discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling
  • Home invasion

Police say he is being held on $250,000 bail and will be arraigned in Northern Berkshire District Court on Monday.

Police reported on Saturday afternoon that the shooting involved two people who know each other, and one person was shot and treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
