ShopRite moves closing date to Saturday

The five ShopRite stores in the Capital Region will close Saturday, Nov. 18.

The five ShopRite stores in the Capital Region will close Saturday, Nov. 18.

The closing date was originally set for December 9, but shelves in the stores are already bare.

The locations are in Albany, Colonie, Slingerlands, North Greenbush and Niskayuna.

Low sales led to the decision to close, the company said.

This is not the first time ShopRite has closed in the Capital Region. The chain closed its Capital Region stores back in 1988, and returned in 2011.
