Work on the Rail Trail Bridge in Slingerlands was expected to finish on Friday.

The final striping of the roadway was scheduled for Friday.

The county has been working to fix drainage issues, install a new sidewalk, and pave the road, they said.

The area of New Scotland Road that was closed was expected to fully reopen to traffic on Friday afternoon.

Construction of an interim steel bridge will begin October 2. That work is expected to take a month to complete.
