A scam reported in Berkshire County earlier this week is now also being reported in East Greenbush.

The scam uses social media to distribute pictures of random children claiming they have been found and asks users to share the post.

After enough people share the post, these scammers will then go back and edit the post and change it to promote a program that gives people money if they click the link.

One red flag to watch out for is that these posts will often have the comments turned off, according to the Better Business Bureau.
