One of the biggest student-driven fundraisers in the country wrapped up Saturday in South Glens Falls. Hundreds of students danced their way to raising hundreds of thousands of dollars at the annual South High Marathon Dance.

It was the 46th year of the event.

The event raised more than $630,000 over the course of this weekend.

The fundraiser has raised more than $10 million since South High students started dancing for charity back in 1978.

The dance went on for 28 hours.

It’s the first time the event was back at the school in two years after it moved to the Great Escape during the pandemic.
