Investigation underway after Albany standoff

Police are investigating after a shots fired call led to an hours-long standoff in Albany, only for police to find out no one was in the home.
Albany Police said they received a call at about 4:45 p.m. of shots fired at Lark and Orange Streets.
Police said information received on the scene indicated the suspect ran into a home on Lark Street. That’s when police surrounded the home.
Police called for the suspect to come out with their hands up. Eventually, police learned there was no one inside the home
