State assemblyman calls for six-month extension of gas tax suspension

With prices spiking again, a local state lawmaker is calling for the New York state gas tax suspension to be extended.
Right now, it’s slated to end December 31.
However, Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara says it should be extended out another six months as he originally proposed.
The gas tax suspension saves New Yorkers 16ยข per gallon.
