State Police issue nearly 13,000 tickets during Fourth of July holiday crackdown

State Police were busy over the Fourth of July weekend.
They said they issued 12,991 tickets statewide during their Fourth of July Stop DWI campaign, investigated 949 crashes, and arrested 193 people for drunken driving.
They also handed out 4,671 speeding tickets.
The special enforcement period started last Friday and ended this Wednesday.
