Congresswoman Elise Stefanik is scheduled to host an agriculture listening session with farmers and business owners on Wednesday.

The discussion and Q&A will focus on issues impacting family farms and New York state agriculture.

Some of the topics that are anticipated to be discussed include inflation, labor shortages, and most recently – the Farm Laborer Wage Board’s overtime decision.

Earlier this month, the Department of Labor accepted the recommendation to lower the OT threshold from 60 hours to 40 hours. The state has 10 years to phase that in.
