The city of Troy has issued a stop work order at the Harbour Point Garden Apartments, which was undergoing emergency structural repairs.

More than 100 people were evacuated from units last month.

The stop work order comes, said the city, after the property owner failed to secure a required building permit, and that they did not give the city a remediation plan.

Without a permit application, the city has no assurance the work will be performed properly and in compliance with applicable building codes, they said. They also have safety concerns, they said.
