Police have charged a teenager in connection with a weekend shots fired call in Philmont.

Jayden Lockenwitz, 18, of Philmont now faces charges of attempted murder.

While police were looking for Lockenwitz, they said it lead them to another arrest.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office got a 911 call just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday for a report of shots fired in the area of 7 Church Street.

Investigators say there was an argument and Lockenwitz fired shots, hitting a house. He then is accused of leaving the scene.

Police say they spotted him again Sunday night in a car with two other people – and the vehicle was pulled over.

The sheriff’s department says one of them threw drugs out the window. Now Kyjuan Hotaling is also charged.

Both are scheduled to return at a later court date.
