A new grant will provide new upgrades to a local historical site.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Tuesday that more than $42 million has been awarded through the New York State Council on the Arts to 144 projects — one of which is right in Albany.

Some of that funding will create an education and visitor center on the four-acre gardens of the Ten Broeck mansion, reconstructed in the form of the historic Ten Broeck-Olcott Carriage Barn.
