Testimony begins in trial of LGBTQ activists’ murder

He is accused of killing Ahsid Hemingway-Powell.
Police have not spoken publicly about a motive or if a weapon was used in the murder.
Hemingway-Powell was a well-known LGBTQ activist. She had just graduated from the University at Albany in May of last year. Two weeks later, she was killed in her apartment.
