Thanksgiving Day Dog Trot raises $1,100
Thanksgiving is going to the dogs with the return of the annual Thanksgiving Day Dog Trot at Capital Hills Golf Course.
Dogs of all breeds and sizes turned out for the Thanksgiving Day Dog Trot at Capital Hills Golf Course.
The walk from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. helped benefit the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
Participants were asked to bring dry or canned dog or cat food to help feed shelter pets and support the Pet Food Pantry, which helps pet owners struggling to make ends meet.
Even coordinators said the event raised $1,100 and collected a truckload of supplies to be donated to the Humane Society.
