Gloversville field receives $100,000 donation

Parkhurst Field in Gloversville just received a $100,000 donation. It comes from the Tim and Tina Delaney family foundation and the Wesson Group. The money will help with the multi-million dollar renovation project at the field in Gloversville. The goal is to create the look and feel of a 100-year-old ballpark with a future planned vintage train past the left field wall – a nod to the origins of the field and the railroad that built it. Members of the Parkhurst Field Foundation say there is rich history at the location. They say the original field hosted players like Cy Young, and “Moonlight” Doc Graham, from “Field of Dreams.”
