New York lawmakers got some help from Hollywood today in their latest push to ban fracking.

Mark Ruffalo, who has portrayed The Hulk and other roles joined state legislators to introduce their bill to prohibit using carbon dioxide to drill and extract natural gas and oil resources.

Almost a decade after New York historically led the nation in banning high-volume hydraulic fracking, the gas industry is proposing to use the experimental and dangerous method of shale gas extraction.
