The Albany Cup game has returned to the Capital Region for the first time in 5 years.

The Siena Saints are played against the Albany Great Danes at MVP arena to reignite their basketball rivalry.

The game has been dubbed a neutral site despite taking place in Downtown Albany. This is because half of the seats available are dedicated to Siena fans while the other half are dedicated to UAlbany fans.

While Siena leads the current with a 10-7 record, UAlbany had possession of the Albany cup. They last won the cup in December 2017.
