Trio of weekend Troy shootings under investigation

Troy Police are investigating an early Monday morning shooting, following a weekend of violence in the city.

There have been three shootings since Friday.

The latest shooting happened at 3 a.m. Monday morning, near 13th Street and Hoosick Street. The victim is expected to survive. He was shot following an argument with the suspect, police said.

There were two other shootings in Troy over the weekend. The first happened Friday after 5 p.m. in the area of 3rd and Congress streets.

A man was shot in the leg. The victim and another man got into a fight, and then the suspect pulled out a gun and fired, police said. The victim is expected to recover.

Hours later, around 2:30 Saturday morning, there were gunshots on North First Street, police said. No one was hurt.
