Troy encouraging residents to help bees by not mowing lawns in May

Troy wants to be more bee friendly, at least during the month of May.
The Troy City Council proclaimed this month as “No Mow May,” when residents are encouraged to refrain from mowing to create more habitat for wildlife. This includes bees and other pollinators.
Refraining from mowing will save water and reduce emissions from gas powered lawn equipment.
