Troy hoping to make city more accessible
The Capital District Transportation Committee and the city of Troy hope to make the city more accessible.
They announced their plan Tuesday to evaluate sidewalks, curb ramps, and other pedestrian infrastructure.
The city is teaming up with Labella Associates. Labella staff will walk all 140 miles of Troy’s sidewalks starting this month to evaluate them.
They’re hoping to be done by winter, after which a plan will be drawn up to make the collar city more accessible.
