Troy man accused of possessing illegal firearm

A Troy man is accused of possessing an illegal firearm in connection with a drug operation.

Richawn McClain, 25, allegedly possessed a Glock .40 caliber handgun that had been modified into a machine gun. He also had a cocaine-fentanyl mixture and more than 900 Oxycodone pills, which he intended to sell, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

McClain allegedly possessed the firearm as a convicted felon.

If convicted, McClain faces a prison term of at least five years and up to life.
