Troy man charged Brunswick burglaries faces new charge in Albany

A Troy man charged in Rensselaer County burglaries is accused of burglarizing an Albany laundromat.

Michael Monge, 40, entered the University Laundromat on Western Ave. 10 minutes after it opened at 7 a.m. on May 17, Albany Police said. He then allegedly stole property belonging to the business after forcing his way into an employees only area.

Monge was arrested Thursday and charged with third-degree burglary. He was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and sent to Albany County Jail.

Monge was also arrested last month in connection with burglaries at Aldi’s and Walmart in Brunswick.
