Troy man convicted in wife’s murder

A Troy man is convicted of killing his own wife.
A jury found Taquan Evans guilty of second-degree murder.
Evans killed his wife Georlasia Evans in Troy back in January of 2021. He strangled her, and then dropped her off at Samaritan Hospital.
He was arrested as he tried to leave the scene.
Evans faces 25-years-to-life in prison when he is sentenced on June 30.
