Troy man faces murder charge in Lansingburgh shooting death

A Troy man has been indicted on a murder charge for allegedly killing a man in a shooting earlier this month.
Gustavo Santana, 27, is accused of shooting 20-year-old Jayden West and his 29-year-old sister Nakeia West, both of Troy, on Sept. 18 in Lansingburgh. Jayden West died of his injuries.
Santana also has been charged with first-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office.
Santana was arraigned in Rensselaer County Court on Tuesday and sent to Rensselaer County Jail.
