Dozens of Troy families displaced from Harbour Point Gardens apartment complex are now in temporary housing. However, the response was not well-organized, Troy Mayor Patrick Madden said.

The landlord put up many residents in a nearby Red Roof Inn.

Others stayed with friends, family, or in less than desirable accommodations.

Madden said the way the situation was handled was unacceptable, and must be handled better.

The goal is to get people back into their homes as quickly as possible, he said.
